My Story: Dogs have been lifelong companions,

from my earliest memories of a German Shepherd to my high school days with my Irish Wolfhound. After college, an abandoned lab mix and another stray joined my journey, adding their unique stories.

A friend’s suggestion led me to embrace a new direction as a dog trainer, beginning a transformative chapter. In 2019, I established StrayDogs Training, LLC, a tribute to the rescues that have significantly influenced my journey.

In 2020, my journey extended to fostering dogs, which ultimately introduced me to Big Paws of the Ozarks. Unexpectedly, one foster dog became a permanent part of my life, underscoring the beauty that often arises from unplanned connections.

My journey has not always been clear, but it’s been woven with threads of companionship, rescue missions, and personal growth. Crucially, each dog encounter continues to shape my identity as a trainer, deepening my commitment to assisting others in forging stronger relationships with their beloved four-legged companions.

Today, my furry family stands as a testament to my diverse paths. I am reminded that the journey persists with each joyous wag of a tail.

Our Training Philosophy: At StrayDogs Training

we believe a well-trained dog isn’t just obedient—it’s connected, confident, and understood.

Training, for us, is about clarity over control. We help dogs and their people communicate clearly, build trust, and create a shared language. Commands are simple, tools are used thoughtfully, and the goal is always progress—not perfection.

We use foundational markers and a handful of essential cues to teach dogs how to navigate the world respectfully and confidently. Our approach is balanced, personalized, and rooted in relationship. We’ll never use a one-size-fits-all method, because no two dogs—or owners—are exactly alike.

Most of all, we believe that training should strengthen your bond, not strain it. When your dog understands what’s expected, and you know how to guide them, you unlock the potential for a calmer, safer, more joyful life together.
