About StrayDogs Training
We help dog owners in Northwest Arkansas replace chaos with clarity.
At StrayDogs Training, we believe real progress starts with understanding, not obedience alone. Dogs learn best when expectations are clear, communication is consistent, and trust comes first.
Hi, I’m Paul,
founder of StrayDogs Training.
Dogs have been a lifelong part of my story, from my first German Shepherd to Irish Wolfhounds and the rescues that shaped my heart and purpose. In 2019, I launched StrayDogs Training as a tribute to the soulful, quirky, brilliant dogs who taught me that training is not about control. It is about connection.
Fostering introduced me to even more unforgettable companions and reinforced a core belief I still hold today. Every dog has potential. They just need the right guidance and a clear partnership.
My own dogs are daily proof that training works when dogs feel safe, seen, and understood.
Our Philosophy
We do not train dogs in a vacuum. We train real dogs with real people in real life.
Training is built on clarity, not force. Tools and techniques are chosen intentionally and thoughtfully. Progress is measured by confidence, communication, and reliability in everyday situations, not perfection in a controlled environment.
We believe:
- Dogs thrive when expectations are clear
- Owners succeed when they understand how to communicate with their dog
- Training should strengthen your relationship, not strain it
What Makes StrayDogs Training Different
StrayDogs Training is not a one size fits all program or a quick fix system.
Every dog is different. Every household is different. Training should fit your life, not force you into a rigid formula.
Whether you are dealing with leash frustration, reactivity, impulse control issues, or simply want a calmer day to day life with your dog, our approach is structured, relationship focused, and grounded in real world success.
