These policies govern the use of StrayDogs Training, LLC’s website and Services, subject to applicable law and the written terms agreed for a particular purchase. For questions, contact info@straydogstraining.com.

Private lessons are generally conducted in Clients’ homes, on their property, or in agreed public locations. The policies below apply to the Services purchased and confirmed by the Company.

We may use cookies or tracking pixels to improve website functionality, analyze usage, and support marketing or analytics. You may disable cookies in your browser settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Primary Uses.

We use your information to:

  • (a) Provide training, boarding, and related Services;

We use the contact information you provide to respond to inquiries and communicate about booked Services, appointment reminders, training updates, billing, and account access. Marketing communications and automated calls or texts are sent only with the consent required for the communication involved. Purchasing Services does not require consent to marketing messages.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or contact the Company to update your preferences. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP or communicating your request through another reasonable method. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Contact the Company for help.

If you opt out of a communication channel, we will respect that choice and arrange another appropriate method for essential service information. Certain account, billing, or service notices may still be sent by a permitted alternative method.

3.3 Training Documentation and Public Media.

Photos, videos, and training records may be used internally for instruction, progress tracking, safety, and service administration. Public marketing use requires separate affirmative consent under Training Policies Section 9 and Copyright & DMCA Policy Section 5. Submitting a training video or purchasing Services does not, by itself, authorize public marketing use.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Information

4.1 Storage and Processing.

Information may be maintained in electronic or physical business records and processed through third-party systems used for customer relationship management, scheduling, communications, payments, accounting, course delivery, document management, website hosting, and data storage. Providers may change over time; the purposes for which information is used remain subject to this Policy.

4.2 Security Measures.

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption, password protection, access controls, and secure data systems. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

4.3 Data Retention.

We retain information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law.

5. Sharing of Information

5.1 Third-Party Service Providers.

We may disclose information to third-party providers that support our business, including providers of:

  • (a) Website hosting, technical support, and data storage;
  • (b) Customer relationship management, scheduling, and course delivery;
  • (c) Payment processing, accounting, and billing;
  • (d) Email, messaging, and other communications;
  • (e) Document management and business administration;
  • (f) Website analytics and advertising measurement, as described in Section 2.3.

The information disclosed depends on the function involved and may include contact information, appointment or transaction details, dog and training records, or website usage data as reasonably needed for the stated purpose. Provider processing is subject to applicable law, the providers’ applicable terms and privacy policies, and any agreements with the Company. The Company does not authorize service providers to use Client training records for unrelated Company marketing without the necessary consent.

5.2 Legal Requirements.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or if necessary to protect the safety or legal rights of the Company, Clients, or the public.

5.3 No Sale of Information.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

6. Children’s Privacy

6.1 Adult Accounts and Purchases.

Accounts and purchases must be made by an adult. The website and online systems are not directed to children under thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under thirteen through those systems.

6.2 Household Participation and Records.

Minors may participate in a household’s training under adult supervision and the Trainer’s safety requirements. Internal session documentation may incidentally include household members. Public marketing use identifying a minor requires separate consent from the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

6.3 Questions or Removal Requests.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information directly without appropriate authorization, contact the Company so we can review and take appropriate action.

7. Client Rights

Clients may:

  • 7.1 Request access to personal information;
  • 7.2 Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • 7.3 Request deletion of information where legally appropriate;
  • 7.4 Update communication preferences;
  • 7.5 Withdraw consent to marketing communications.

Requests may be submitted in writing to the Company.

Our website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of external sites. Use third-party websites at your own discretion.

9. Updates to This Policy

Updates apply prospectively from the effective date identified on this page. The terms accepted at purchase govern an existing purchase unless the Client and Company agree in writing to a change or a change is required by applicable law. The Company may apply reasonable immediate safety measures without retroactively changing payment or forfeiture terms. Website use after an update is subject to the updated website terms.

2.5 Misuse of Company Materials

Company-owned content is protected as described in the Copyright & DMCA Policy. Clients may use and make personal copies of materials for their purchased program and share those materials with household members participating in that dog’s training, as permitted by that Policy. Users may not:

  • (a) Copy, distribute, or reproduce Company content beyond the permitted personal use;
  • (b) Publish, resell, or share training materials outside the participating household without written permission;

  • (c) Bite incidents;
  • (d) Medications;
  • (e) Household environment;
  • (f) Any other information needed to provide Services.

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in termination of Services. Financial consequences are governed by the Refund Policy, including its applicable-law exceptions.

4. Monitoring and Enforcement

4.1 Right to Monitor.

The Company may monitor use of the Online Systems to ensure compliance with this Policy.

4.2 Violations.

If a User violates this Policy, the Company may, at its sole discretion:

  • (a) Restrict access;

  • (d) Remove materials;
  • (e) Pursue legal remedies if necessary.

5. No Expectation of Privacy for System Abuse

If improper activity is suspected, the Company may review logs, communications, or submitted content as permitted by law.

1. Purpose

This Copyright & DMCA Policy (“Policy”) describes the ownership of Company content, permitted uses, prohibited uses, and how copyright concerns may be reported to StrayDogs Training, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”).

2. Ownership of Content

2.1 Company Intellectual Property.

Materials created and owned by the Company, whether online, in print, through email, or during training Services, are the property of StrayDogs Training, LLC. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their applicable licenses. Client-provided materials remain the property of the Client or their respective owner. Company-owned materials include, but are not limited to:

  • (a) Written training materials;
  • (b) Behavior assessments and training plans;
  • (c) Photos or videos taken by the Company;
  • (d) Emails, documents, and communications;
  • (e) Policies, agreements, contracts, and waivers;
  • (f) Website content;
  • (g) Branding, logos, and graphics;
  • (h) Media released on social platforms.

2.2 Protection Under Law.

All such materials are protected by U.S. copyright law and intellectual property law.

3. Permitted Use of Company Content

Clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal-use license to:

  • (a) Review training notes and homework;
  • (b) Access materials needed for their dog’s training program;
  • (c) View photos and videos provided as part of their dog’s training updates.

Clients may download or print materials made available for that purpose and share them with household members participating in the same dog’s training for personal, noncommercial use. This permission does not authorize account-credential sharing, public posting, resale, or distribution outside that participating household. Other uses require written authorization.

4. Prohibited Use

Users may not:

  • 4.1 Copy, reproduce, or distribute Company content beyond the permitted personal use;
  • 4.2 Republish or upload materials to the internet;
  • 4.3 Share training materials outside the participating household without written permission;
  • 4.4 Claim ownership of any Company content;
  • 4.5 Remove Company branding or copyright notices;
  • 4.6 Use Company content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Unauthorized use may result in:

  • (a) Revocation of access;
  • (b) Termination of services;
  • (c) Issuance of a DMCA takedown request;
  • (d) Legal action for damages.

5. Media Use & Client-Provided Materials

5.1 Internal Training Documentation.

The Company may capture session photos or videos and use Client-provided training media for internal instruction, progress tracking, safety, and service administration, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy. Clients grant a limited license to use submitted materials for these purposes and represent that they have authority to provide them. Ownership of Client-provided materials is not transferred to the Company.

5.2 Public Marketing Requires Separate Consent.

Use of Client or dog photos, videos, testimonials, or training updates for public marketing requires separate affirmative consent. Declining marketing consent does not affect eligibility for Services. Identifiable household members must provide their own consent; a parent or legal guardian must consent for an identifiable minor.

5.3 Withdrawal of Marketing Consent.

Consent may be withdrawn in writing at any time. The Company will stop new marketing use and make reasonable efforts to remove existing material from Company-controlled digital channels. Withdrawal cannot recall printed materials already distributed or third-party copies outside the Company’s control. Internal records may be retained under the Privacy Policy. Any separate Media Release must be consistent with these requirements.

5.4 Client Sharing of Company Media.

Company training videos containing proprietary instruction may not be publicly posted without written permission. Other Company photos or videos may be shared publicly only with written permission and any required attribution. Crediting the Company alone does not authorize public sharing.

If you believe your copyrighted material has been used or posted by StrayDogs Training, LLC without authorization, please submit a DMCA notice to:

StrayDogs Training, LLC

Email: info@straydogstraining.com

Your request must include:

  • (a) Your full name and contact information;
  • (b) A description of the copyrighted work at issue;
  • (c) A link or description of the allegedly infringing material;
  • (d) A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • (e) A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed;
  • (f) Your physical or electronic signature.

7. Removal of Infringing Content

The Company will review copyright complaints promptly and respond as required by applicable law, including removing or disabling access where appropriate. Where statutory notice-and-counter-notice procedures apply, the Company will follow those procedures and notify affected parties as required. Repeated infringement may result in termination of access in appropriate circumstances.

8. Misuse of DMCA Procedures

Submitting false or fraudulent DMCA claims is prohibited and may result in legal liability, including damages, costs, and attorney’s fees.

Refund Policy

1. Purpose

This Refund Policy (“Policy”) outlines the circumstances under which payments made to StrayDogs Training, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”) may be refunded. This Policy applies to all Services provided by the Company, including but not limited to private lessons, behavioral consultations, Canine Camp programs, Boarding services, and online courses or digital products when offered.

All Clients (“Client,” “you,” “your”) agree to this Policy upon booking or purchasing any Service.

2. General Policy – All Sales Final

2.1 Non-Refundable Payments and Exceptions.

Except where a refund is required by applicable law, expressly promised in the purchase terms, approved by the Company in writing, or provided under Sections 3.5, 11, or 12, payments are non-refundable when the Client:

  • (a) Cancels;
  • (b) Chooses to discontinue Services;
  • (c) Fails to attend or participate;
  • (d) Experiences schedule changes or conflicts;
  • (e) Is removed from a program due to safety or behavioral concerns.

2.2 Reason for Policy.

The Company invests time, scheduling resources, preparation, travel, materials, and reserved training/boarding space for every Client. Because of this advance commitment, purchases are final subject to the exceptions in Section 2.1. Nothing in these policies limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

3. Private Lessons

3.1 Payment.

Payment for private lessons is due in full at the time of booking unless an alternative arrangement is explicitly approved in writing.

3.2 Cancellations, Rescheduling and Missed Lessons.

  • (a) An appointment may be canceled or rescheduled without loss of that lesson when at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice is provided. Cancellation does not create a right to a cash refund. Replacement appointments are subject to availability and the package completion deadline.
  • (b) A cancellation or rescheduling request communicated with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice before the scheduled start is a “late change.” Requests made at or after the scheduled start are missed appointments unless otherwise approved by the Company.
  • (c) Each private lesson package includes two (2) courtesy late changes for the entire package, shared across all participating dogs and household members. A courtesy late change preserves the lesson for rescheduling and does not extend the completion deadline. Courtesy changes do not reset when an appointment is moved or when a different household member attends. Individually purchased appointments do not include these package allowances unless agreed in writing.
  • (d) After both courtesy late changes have been used, each additional late change results in that appointment being forfeited and deducted from the package. A forfeited appointment is treated as used for billing and package accounting; it does not mean instruction was delivered or objectives were met.
  • (e) An appointment missed without advance notice is forfeited and does not qualify for a courtesy late change. If no adult owner or authorized adult decision-maker is available, or the Client fails to provide agreed access so the appointment cannot take place, it is treated as a missed appointment. If the Client gives advance notice, the timely-change or late-change rules apply instead.
  • (f) Repeated missed appointments or scheduling problems that prevent reasonable program progress may result in termination after written notice. Immediate termination may be used when safety or serious misconduct requires it. Refund consequences remain subject to Section 2.1.
  • (g) The Company may waive a late-change deduction, forfeiture, or deadline for medical emergencies or extraordinary circumstances. A waiver applies only to the incident expressly approved and does not change the policy for future appointments.
  • (h) Give notice by email to info@straydogstraining.com or a scheduling/message channel expressly designated by the Company. Notice is measured by the recorded time received, not when the Trainer reads it. Clients should retain confirmation of submission; a sent message that fails to reach the designated channel is not notice. Public comments or messages to undesignated accounts do not constitute scheduling notice.

3.3 Transfers.

Transfers are discretionary and require written Company approval before the package expires. Transfers must be to an available program of equal or greater value, and the Client must pay any price difference. Approval must identify the remaining credit, replacement program, and any revised deadline. A transfer does not automatically reset courtesy late changes or restore forfeited lessons.

3.4 Package Completion Window.

Private lesson packages must be completed within the completion period disclosed in writing before purchase. Unless a different period is expressly stated in those purchase terms, the completion period is twelve (12) weeks from the first lesson actually held. The Company will confirm the completion deadline in writing. Scheduling and lesson frequency depend on the purchased Services, progress, and availability. Changes to a program’s name or later offerings do not change the terms of an existing purchase.

Before purchase or confirmation, the Company and Client will agree on an initial start date. Any deadline to begin the program must be disclosed in the written purchase agreement; this twelve-week completion rule alone does not establish a purchase-to-start expiration period.

Timely rescheduling and courtesy late changes do not automatically extend a package. Any unused lessons remaining after its deadline expire without refund, subject to Section 2.1. Extensions must be approved in writing and identify the revised deadline. Company-caused delays are handled under Section 3.5.

3.5 Company-Initiated Changes and Inability to Deliver Services.

If the Company cancels or reschedules because of Trainer illness, hazardous weather, location closures, or another circumstance outside the Client’s control, the lesson is preserved and no courtesy late change is deducted. If the Trainer arrives late, the Client will not lose the affected instructional time; the Company will arrange an agreed extension or replacement time.

Where a Company-caused delay prevents completion by the original deadline, the Company will provide a reasonable extension sufficient for replacement appointments and confirm the new deadline in writing.

An appointment prevented or ended because of Client non-compliance, undisclosed dog behavior, or failure to provide agreed access is governed by Section 3.2 and Training Policies Section 6, rather than this Company-initiated-change provision.

If the Company permanently cannot deliver the remaining purchased Services for reasons unrelated to Client non-compliance or dog-specific safety restrictions, the Client may accept an agreed alternative or receive a refund of the prepaid, undelivered portion. For a private lesson package without a disclosed allocation, each lesson is allocated an equal share of the agreed total package price, including any package discount. The Company will reconcile payments received against that allocation for completed and validly forfeited lessons, refund any excess payment attributable to undelivered lessons, and cancel unpaid amounts attributable to those undelivered lessons. Any unpaid amount for completed or validly forfeited lessons remains due. A refund will not exceed payments actually received. Completed or validly forfeited lessons are not refunded.

4. Canine Camp (Board & Train)

4.1 Deposits.

The $400 deposit is non-refundable and required to reserve the Client’s start date.

4.2 Remaining Balance.

The remaining balance is due at—or before—drop-off unless alternative arrangements are approved in writing.

4.3 Cancellations.

  • (a) Canceling a reserved spot forfeits the deposit.
  • (b) Canceling within fourteen (14) days of the start date results in full payment due, with amounts already paid credited toward the total rather than charged again.
  • (c) Program removal due to behavior, safety, or health concerns does not qualify for a refund, subject to Section 2.1.
  • (d) A Client request to move a reserved start date is treated as cancellation of the original reservation unless the Company approves a transfer in writing under Section 4.5. The two courtesy late changes for private lesson packages do not apply to Canine Camp.

4.4 Extensions or Program Changes.

If a dog requires additional training beyond the purchased program:

  • (a) Training will pause;
  • (b) The Trainer will notify the Client;
  • (c) Additional training will only resume if the Client agrees to the extension and submits payment for any upgraded program or additional weeks.

4.5 Transfers.

The Company may approve a change of start date or transfer to another available program of equal or greater value in writing before the original start date. Approval must specify how prior payments apply and identify the new dates and terms. Price differences must be paid. No transfer or start-date change is guaranteed.

5. Boarding Services

5.1 Payment.

Boarding fees are due at booking unless otherwise approved in writing.

5.2 Cancellations.

  • (a) Client cancellations or rescheduling requests received at least seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled drop-off may be rescheduled, subject to availability, but are not refunded.
  • (b) Client cancellations or rescheduling requests received less than seventy-two (72) hours before scheduled drop-off are forfeited.
  • (c) The two courtesy late changes for private lesson packages do not apply to Boarding. Any exception must be approved in writing. Section 2.1 continues to apply.

5.3 Behavioral or Health-Based Early Removal.

If a dog must be picked up early due to behavior, health, or safety concerns, no refund will ordinarily be issued, subject to Section 2.1.

5.4 Food Shortages.

If a dog runs out of food during a boarding stay, the Company will purchase food and charge the Client at cost.

6. No Guarantee of Results

Dog training is influenced by genetics, temperament, environment, and owner consistency.

No specific outcome is guaranteed. Dissatisfaction with results, training progress, or expectations alone does not create a refund right; the exceptions in Section 2.1 still apply.

7. Client-Initiated Discontinuation

If the Client chooses to discontinue Services, no refund or partial refund will be issued, subject to Section 2.1. A request to pause does not automatically cancel the purchase, suspend payment obligations, or extend its deadline. Any approved pause, transfer, or extension must be documented in writing. Remaining private lessons expire under Section 3.4 unless an earlier termination or written agreement applies.

8. Medical or Emergency Situations

Clients should notify the Company promptly if the dog or Client cannot safely participate due to illness, injury, or an emergency. Do not attend with a dog suspected of contagious illness.

  • (a) The Company may approve rescheduling, a pause, or an extension in writing;
  • (b) The Company may waive the late-change or forfeiture rule under Section 3.2(g); an emergency does not automatically reset the courtesy allowance;
  • (c) Veterinary documentation may be requested when relevant to the dog’s safe return;
  • (d) The Trainer may require veterinary clearance before continuing;
  • (e) No refund is promised solely because of illness or an emergency, subject to Section 2.1. An approved extension will state a revised completion deadline.

9. Transfers of Payment

Funds may be transferred to another program of equal or greater value at the Company’s discretion.

Price differences must be paid by the Client.

Transfers are not guaranteed and must be approved in writing.

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact the Company promptly about a billing concern so we can attempt to resolve it. This request does not limit lawful rights to dispute a charge through a bank or payment provider.

The Company may provide purchase agreements, appointment records, and service documentation to the payment processor and may pursue recovery of amounts lawfully owed. A dispute does not authorize fraudulent statements. The Company will not impose a penalty solely for exercising a protected dispute right.

11. Online Courses and Digital Products, When Offered

Payment, access duration, included feedback or support, release schedules, and any product-specific refund terms must be disclosed before purchase. Unless a different refund right is expressly included in those terms, the general non-refundable policy in Section 2.1 applies. Private lesson courtesy allowances and completion windows do not automatically apply to digital products or online courses. Live appointments included in an online program must have their applicable scheduling terms disclosed at purchase. If the Company cannot provide purchased digital access, it will restore access, provide an agreed alternative, or refund the prepaid, undelivered portion as appropriate, subject to applicable law.

12. Company-Initiated Cancellation of Camp or Boarding

If the Company cancels an accepted Camp or Boarding reservation for reasons unrelated to Client non-compliance or dog-specific health or safety restrictions, the Client may accept an agreed alternative or receive a refund of payments for the canceled, undelivered reservation, including its deposit. Unpaid charges for that canceled reservation will be canceled. If a stay has already begun, charges for services actually delivered remain due and the Company will refund prepaid unused days under the rate or allocation disclosed at booking.

Training Policies

1. Purpose

These Training Policies (“Policies”) outline the requirements, expectations, and procedures for all in-person training Services provided by StrayDogs Training, LLC (“Company,” “Trainer,” “we,” “our”). These Policies apply to all Clients who participate in private lessons, evaluations, consultations, or any other in-person training Services (“Services”).

2. Vaccination and Health Requirements

2.1 Private Lesson Vaccination Requirements.

For private lessons in the Client’s home, on the Client’s property, or in agreed public locations, dogs must meet applicable legal rabies-vaccination requirements. Bordetella and DHPP are not blanket Company requirements for every private lesson. Additional vaccination or health documentation may be required by a particular facility, service, or training setting; the Company will communicate applicable location requirements before attendance. Puppies and dogs with medical restrictions may require adjusted locations or veterinary guidance.

2.2 Recommended Preventatives.

Clients should discuss an appropriate vaccination and parasite-prevention plan with their veterinarian, including core vaccines, Leptospirosis, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention based on the dog’s age, health, and exposure. This recommendation does not make all listed measures mandatory for private lessons.

2.3 Proof of Vaccination.

Proof of required vaccinations must be provided upon request. The Trainer may decline or discontinue Services if proof is not provided or if vaccinations are incomplete.

2.4 Health Requirements.

Dogs must be healthy enough to participate safely and must not have a known or suspected contagious illness or an active parasite infestation that creates an exposure risk. Clients must promptly disclose relevant symptoms, injuries, medical restrictions, or medication changes. The Company may modify training or require veterinary clearance. Chronic conditions do not automatically exclude a dog when training can be safely adapted.

2.5 Private Lesson Screening and Camp/Boarding Requirements.

Routine fecal-test documentation is not required for private lessons unless the Trainer requests it for a specific health or safety concern. Camp and Boarding vaccination and screening requirements are governed by the separate Health & Vaccination Policy, including its twelve-month fecal-test standard and six-month standard for dogs with a known history of parasitic infection. Camp and Boarding requirements do not automatically apply to ordinary private lessons.

3. Behavior Disclosure

3.1 Required Disclosure.

Clients must fully disclose any known behavior concerns, including but not limited to aggression, fear, reactivity, anxiety, resource guarding, prior bites, or behavioral medication.

3.2 Removal for Non-Disclosure.

Failure to disclose relevant behavior history may result in immediate removal for safety reasons. Financial consequences are governed by the Refund Policy, including its applicable-law exceptions.

3.3 Trainer Assessment.

The Trainer may refuse or discontinue Services if the dog exhibits behavior that presents safety concerns for the dog, the Client, the Trainer, or others.

4. Training Tools

4.1 Approved Tools.

Equipment is selected for the individual dog, service, and training goals. Depending on the program, tools may include flat collars, martingale collars, standard leashes, and the following:

  • (a) Slip leads;
  • (b) Prong collars;
  • (c) Remote collars;
  • (d) Long lines;
  • (e) Muzzles;
  • (f) Crates;
  • (g) Head halters;
  • (h) Clickers;
  • (i) Food rewards.

4.2 Trainer Discretion.

The Trainer recommends appropriate tools and explains their purpose, fit, handling, and proper use before asking the Client to use them. Recommendations may be adjusted based on safety, progress, or training goals. Inclusion in this list does not mean every tool is required or suitable for every dog. Any tool can create risk if used incorrectly; Clients should discuss concerns or difficulties with the Trainer.

4.3 Client Participation.

Clients must follow agreed equipment and safety instructions and must not use unfamiliar equipment without instruction. If a Client cannot or does not wish to use a recommended tool, the Client should discuss suitable alternatives before continuing. If safe, appropriate alternatives cannot be agreed, the Company may pause or discontinue Services under the Refund Policy.

5. Owner or Authorized Decision-Maker Attendance

5.1 Attendance Requirement.

For all in-person lessons, an adult Client or an authorized decision-maker must be physically present for the entire session.

5.2 Failure to Attend.

If no adult owner or authorized adult decision-maker is available at the appointment, the missed-appointment rule in Refund Policy Section 3.2 applies. Advance notice is handled under that section’s timely-change or late-change rules.

5.3 Household Participation.

Spouses, children, and other household members are welcome to participate when appropriate. An adult remains responsible for supervising minors. The Trainer may limit participation or ask someone to step away when necessary for safety or effective instruction.

6. Training Environment and Safety

6.1 Training Location.

Private lessons generally take place in the Client’s home, on the Client’s property, or in an agreed public location selected for the dog’s training goals. Clients must follow the rules of the selected location and any applicable leash requirements.

6.2 Safe and Accessible Environment.

Clients must provide reasonably safe access, communicate entry or parking instructions, secure other animals as instructed, and identify relevant hazards. The Company may modify, relocate, shorten, or end a session when the environment is unsafe, inaccessible, excessively distracting, or otherwise unsuitable for productive instruction.

6.3 Dog Stress, Illness and Safety.

The Trainer may adjust or stop training if the dog becomes overly stressed, reactive, ill, fatigued, or unsafe to handle. A dog-specific safety issue does not automatically qualify as a Company-caused cancellation.

6.4 Lesson Accounting for Interrupted Sessions.

If agreed access is unavailable or no authorized adult is present and instruction cannot begin, Refund Policy Section 3.2 applies. If a session begins and is then shortened because of Client non-compliance, undisclosed behavior or health concerns, or refusal to follow safety instructions, it may be counted as a used lesson without replacement, subject to the Refund Policy’s exceptions.

If a session is shortened because of dog stress or another dog-specific concern despite Client compliance, the Trainer will explain whether the instruction delivered reasonably meets that session’s objectives or whether remaining instruction will be preserved for another appointment. An interruption alone does not entitle the Client to a cash refund.

Trainer illness, hazardous weather, location closures, and other Company-initiated changes outside the Client’s control are handled under Refund Policy Section 3.5, without deducting a courtesy late change. The Company will communicate the lesson accounting and any replacement plan in writing.

7. Client Responsibilities

7.1 Practice Between Sessions.

Clients are responsible for practicing recommended exercises consistently between sessions.

7.2 Training Assignments.

Clients will receive homework, management guidelines, or written instructions as needed. Failure to complete assignments may lead to slower progress.

7.3 Timeliness.

Clients and dogs must be ready at the scheduled appointment time. Client-caused delays shorten the available instruction; the appointment ends at the originally scheduled time and may count as a full used lesson. Extra time is not guaranteed. Trainer-caused delays are handled under Refund Policy Section 3.5.

7.4 Equipment.

The Company will identify the equipment required for the first lesson before that appointment. Other equipment may be recommended as training progresses; the Trainer will explain when it is needed and discuss appropriate options. Clients must provide agreed required equipment unless another arrangement is made in writing. The general tool list in Section 4 is not a first-lesson shopping list.

7.5 Lesson Duration and Progress.

Private lessons are scheduled for up to sixty (60) minutes unless a different duration is stated at booking. A lesson may end earlier when its objectives have been met or when continued work would not benefit the dog or Client. An objective-based early finish counts as a full lesson. The Trainer may voluntarily continue beyond the scheduled time when appropriate and the schedule permits; additional time is not guaranteed. Client lateness does not create a right to an overrun.

7.6 Scheduling and Completion.

Private lesson cancellations, rescheduling, courtesy late changes, missed appointments, and completion deadlines are governed by Refund Policy Sections 3.2 through 3.5. The completion period is the period disclosed in writing before purchase, with a default of twelve (12) weeks from the first lesson actually held if no different period is stated. Approved extensions are governed by the same Refund Policy provisions.

8. No Guarantee of Results

8.1 Individual Variation.

Training outcomes depend on many factors, including but not limited to genetics, environment, temperament, and Client participation.

8.2 No Warranties.

The Company does not guarantee specific results or behavior outcomes.

9. Media and Documentation

9.1 Internal Training Documentation.

The Trainer may capture session photos or videos and use Client-submitted media for internal instruction, progress tracking, safety, and service administration, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy. Clients should tell the Trainer about household privacy concerns before recording. Internal documentation does not authorize public marketing.

9.2 Public Marketing Is Optional.

Public use of Client or dog photos, videos, testimonials, or training updates requires separate affirmative consent. Declining consent does not affect eligibility for Services. Identifiable household members must consent separately; identifiable minors require consent from their parent or legal guardian.

9.3 Withdrawal and Media Release.

Marketing consent may be withdrawn in writing at any time. The Company will stop new marketing use and make reasonable efforts to remove material from Company-controlled digital channels; already distributed printed materials and third-party copies may not be retrievable. Internal records may be retained under the Privacy Policy. Copyright & DMCA Policy Section 5 governs the same uses, and any separate Media Release must be consistent with these requirements.

10. Updates to These Policies

5. Payment Terms

Payments are due according to the structure provided at booking and outlined in the Refund Policy.

By booking Services, the Client authorizes the Company to process payments through approved payment processors.

Payments are generally final and non-refundable, subject to the exceptions in Refund Policy Section 2.1 and the applicable purchase terms. Any installment plan must be confirmed in writing and identify amounts, due dates, and authorized payment methods. Paying in installments does not convert a purchased package into individually cancelable lessons or a month-to-month subscription. Any adjustment when the Company cannot deliver remaining Services is governed by Refund Policy Section 3.5 or Section 12, as applicable. Payment authorization does not permit undisclosed charges.

6. Scheduling & Cancellations

Scheduling, rescheduling, late changes, missed appointments, package completion deadlines, and Company-initiated changes are governed by the Refund Policy and applicable written purchase terms. Private lesson package rules are in Refund Policy Sections 3.2 through 3.5; Camp and Boarding follow their separate rules in Sections 4 and 5.

The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel future bookings if the Client fails to comply with scheduling requirements.

7. Safety & Trainer Discretion

The Company may, at its sole discretion:

  • (a) Refuse Services;
  • (b) Pause a session;
  • (c) End a session early;
  • (d) Remove a Dog from a program;
  • (e) Require additional equipment or safety measures;
  • (f) Require a veterinary evaluation before continuing Services.

These actions may be taken for any safety-related reason, including but not limited to aggressive behavior, illness, environmental hazards, or Client non-compliance.

Lesson accounting, replacement appointments, and refunds are governed by the Refund Policy and Training Policies Section 6. A temporary safety adjustment does not automatically cancel the entire package. Company-caused cancellations are treated under Refund Policy Section 3.5 or Section 12, as applicable.

8. No Guarantee of Results

Dog training involves factors beyond the Trainer’s control, including genetics, environment, health, prior experiences, and Client follow-through.

The Company does not guarantee specific results or outcomes.

9. Assumption of Risk

By participating in Services, the Client acknowledges:

  • (a) Dogs may behave unpredictably;
  • (b) Injury to persons, animals, or property may occur;
  • (c) Participation involves inherent risk.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Client voluntarily assumes the inherent risks associated with training, handling, transportation, or housing of the Dog. This acknowledgment does not waive liabilities or rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for:

  • (a) Injuries to the Dog;
  • (b) Injuries caused by the Dog;
  • (c) Damage caused by the Dog;
  • (d) Property loss or damage;
  • (e) Illness, stress, or behavioral regression;
  • (f) Consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

The Client remains responsible for the Dog’s handling and management when the Dog is under the Client’s control. Nothing in this section excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its owner, employees, representatives, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

  • (a) the Dog’s behavior;
  • (b) the Client’s actions or negligence;
  • (c) breach of these Terms or other Company policies;
  • (d) inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client.

This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by Company conduct for which responsibility cannot lawfully be shifted to the Client.

12. Intellectual Property

Company-created and Company-owned website content, training materials, photos, videos, documents, policies, and communications remain Company property. Third-party and Client-provided materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Use of such materials is governed by the Copyright & DMCA Policy.

Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.

13. Privacy & Data Use

Use of personal information is governed by the Company’s Privacy Policy.

The Company processes personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. This general provision does not replace any separate consent required for automated messages, marketing communications, or public media use.

14. Acceptable Use

Use of the website and online systems is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy.

Violation of the Acceptable Use Policy may result in termination of access or Services.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in Washington County, Arkansas.

16. Online Courses and Digital Resources, When Offered

Online products include only the access, instruction, feedback, support, and release schedule expressly described at purchase. Access is personal and subject to the Copyright & DMCA and Acceptable Use Policies. Participating household members may use permitted materials, but account credentials may not be shared unless expressly authorized.

Clients are responsible for compatible internet access and devices and for applying training safely. Remote instruction may not be appropriate for aggression, bite-risk situations, or other concerns requiring an in-person assessment; the Company may recommend veterinary care or local professional assistance. No specific result is guaranteed.

Expiration of in-person lessons does not automatically determine access to companion digital resources. Any digital access duration or support deadline must be stated separately at purchase. Refunds and scheduling of any included live appointments are governed by Refund Policy Section 11 and the written offer.

17. Policy Interpretation and Purchase Terms

Applicable law controls. For a particular purchase, an expressly agreed written service-specific term controls over a conflicting general term on this page. Among these page policies, the Refund Policy governs payment, forfeiture, and completion deadlines; Training Policies govern private-session operations; Health & Vaccination Policy governs Camp and Boarding health requirements; Privacy Policy governs personal data; and Copyright & DMCA Policy governs content permissions. These terms do not override rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

18. Modifications to Terms

Health & Vaccination Policy

1. Purpose

This Health & Vaccination Policy governs Boarding and Canine Camp Services provided by StrayDogs Training, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”). Ordinary private lessons are governed by Training Policies Section 2.

The purpose of this Policy is to protect the health and safety of all Dogs in our care.

By booking Boarding or Canine Camp Services, the Client agrees to comply with this Policy.

2. Required Vaccinations

The following vaccinations are required for all Boarding and Canine Camp stays:

  • (a) Rabies
  • (b) DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza)
  • (c) Bordetella

All required vaccinations must:

  • Be administered at least fourteen (14) days prior to arrival;
  • Be current at the time of drop-off;
  • Remain current for the entire duration of the stay;
  • Not expire during the stay.

Written proof from a licensed veterinary office is required. Photocopies, digital records, or official veterinary documentation are acceptable.

Failure to provide documentation may result in refusal of Services.

3. Required Health Screening

All Dogs must have:

  • (a) A negative fecal (stool) test performed within the previous twelve (12) months;
  • (b) For a dog with a known history of parasitic infection, a negative fecal test performed within the previous six (6) months instead of the twelve-month standard.

Written documentation from a licensed veterinary office is required. Testing must address relevant intestinal parasites, including giardia, hookworms, roundworms, whipworms, and coccidia as appropriate to veterinary testing. The Company may request updated testing or veterinary clearance when symptoms, exposure, or infection history create a concern. A negative test does not guarantee absence of all infection.

The following are strongly recommended for Dogs in Northwest Arkansas but are not required:

  • (a) Leptospirosis
  • (b) Canine Influenza
  • (c) Flea & Tick preventative
  • (d) Heartworm preventative

While proof is not required for preventatives, Dogs must arrive free of visible parasites.

5. Health Requirements at Drop-Off

At the time of arrival, the Dog must:

  • (a) Be free of vomiting;
  • (b) Be free of diarrhea;
  • (c) Be free of visible parasites;
  • (d) Show no signs of contagious illness, including but not limited to coughing, nasal discharge, lethargy, or unexplained skin conditions.

If signs of illness are observed at drop-off, Services will be refused.

6. Illness During Stay

If a Dog develops symptoms of illness during its stay, the Company may, at its sole discretion:

  • (a) Require immediate pickup by the Client;
  • (b) Seek veterinary evaluation at the Client’s expense;
  • (c) Terminate the stay, with financial consequences governed by the Refund Policy and its applicable-law exceptions.

The Company does not provide medical isolation services.

7. Right to Refuse Service

StrayDogs Training reserves the right to refuse or discontinue Services if:

  • (a) Health documentation is incomplete;
  • (b) Required vaccinations are not compliant;
  • (c) The Dog shows signs of illness;
  • (d) The Dog poses a health risk to other Dogs in care.

Refusal due to Client non-compliance does not ordinarily qualify for a refund, subject to Refund Policy Section 2.1. Company-initiated cancellation of a reservation is handled separately under Refund Policy Section 12.

8. Acknowledgment

By booking Boarding or Canine Camp Services, the Client acknowledges and agrees:

  • (a) Compliance with this Policy is mandatory;
  • (b) These requirements are designed to protect all Dogs in the Company’s care;
  • (c) Failure to comply may result in denial or termination of Services.

9. Modifications

Updates apply prospectively from the effective date identified on this page. The terms accepted at purchase govern an existing purchase unless the Client and Company agree in writing to a change or a change is required by applicable law.
